Today From Psalms
At All Times
The blessedness of the word of God is that it can be with us at all times.
Psalms 119:97-98 “O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day. Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me.”
As we diligently study and commit to memory the principles, promises and even the actual words to our mind and memory, there will never be a time that God’s Word will not be available to help us. The testimonies of multitudes, who have been deprived of a written copy of the Bible yet found it hidden in their hearts to strengthen them in trial and adversity are truly without number.
God’s Word gives me wisdom to deal with life no matter how it is played out. “Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies.”
God’s Word helps me to understand that God has a plan for me even though I may not fully see it at this moment. “I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation.” (Verse 99)
God’s Word is a source of joy in all the circumstances of life. “How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!” (Verse 103)
The key to having God’s Word readily available is found in Verse 97. “O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day.”
Let the Word of God be a part of your life every day and all-day long.
