Faith

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Hebrews 11:8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.

You cannot study the life of Abraham without concluding that Abraham believed God!  As I read the above verses, I had stop and just ask myself; “Do I trust God enough to step out into the realm of the totally unknown?”

We all like to operate in a world where we see the end from the beginning and to some extent where we think we are in control.  Faith does not require us to see the end, only the beginning.  Faith does not necessitate me being in control, it is satisfied realizing God is in control.

Let me challenge all of us to obediently follow God by faith.

It may be that God has brought you to a place where you do not see the end, or where you cannot be in control.  Trust in the Lord.

Psalms 37:3 Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
